Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of ReviewAhead. They describe what the service does, what it deliberately does not promise, what you pay for, and what each of us owes the other.

2. What ReviewAhead is

ReviewAhead reads an iOS app project and reports configuration, privacy, entitlement and metadata problems that commonly cause App Store rejections or delays. It produces a readiness score, a list of findings with the evidence behind each one, and a suggested fix.

You can scan a .zip of the folder that holds your Xcode project, a build (an .ipa, or a .zip of the .app), or a GitHub repository you have shared with the ReviewAhead GitHub App. A build carries no source code, so the checks that read code do not run against one, and the report says which.

ReviewAhead does not run, build, compile or execute your code. It reads project files: the Info.plist, the entitlements, the privacy manifest, the dependency manifests and source text. It is a hosted service: the files are read on ReviewAhead’s servers, not on your own machine, and the uploaded archive and everything extracted from it are deleted when the scan ends.

3. What ReviewAhead does not promise

ReviewAhead cannot guarantee that your app will be approved. App Review evaluates a running app, its content and its metadata, none of which a project scan can see. A clean report reduces submission risk. It is not a prediction, a warranty, or an assurance of any outcome, and nothing in the product should be read as one.

Findings are produced by automated rules and, where you switch it on, by AI-assisted review. Both can be wrong in either direction: a finding may not apply to your app, and a real problem may go unreported. You remain responsible for what you submit to Apple.

ReviewAhead is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Apple Inc. App Store, Xcode and App Store Connect are trademarks of Apple Inc.

4. Using the service

You agree that you will:

  • upload only projects you own or are authorised to submit for analysis;
  • not upload malicious archives, or archives crafted to attack the service;
  • not attempt to circumvent payment, access reports that are not yours, or extract the rule set by automated means;
  • not resell or redistribute the service itself.

An archive may be at most 512 MB. The number of scans from one address in a given period, the size of an archive once extracted and the time one scan may take are also limited. These limits keep the service available and may change.

An account is optional for scanning, reading a report and buying a single report. The unlimited plan, promotion codes, scanning from GitHub and connecting a coding agent need one. Where you create an account, you are responsible for keeping access to it secure.

5. Your content and your report

You keep every right you already have in your project. Uploading it grants ReviewAhead permission to process it for the sole purpose of producing your report, and nothing else. ReviewAhead does not train AI models on your project, and does not sell it or share it for advertising.

The report belongs to you. A free report is kept for 24 hours after the scan and a report you paid for for 365 days after payment, then deleted. The Privacy Policy lists everything that is kept and for how long, and Where your code goes during a scan describes how the handling works.

Where you connect a repository, you grant ReviewAhead permission to read the repositories you selected on GitHub, for the sole purpose of producing your report. That permission is read-only: ReviewAhead never writes to your repositories and cannot reach a repository you did not select. You may withdraw it at any time on GitHub, which takes effect immediately. You confirm that you are entitled to grant that access for the repositories you select.

6. What you can buy, and how you pay

A single report. A free report shows the most severe findings in full. Unlocking every remaining finding, with its evidence and fix and a PDF export, is a one-off payment for that report. If you bought the last report of the same app (the same bundle identifier), a rescan may cost less, and the price on the button says so. You can buy a single report without an account.

The unlimited plan. A monthly subscription for a signed-in account: every report is unlocked in full while it is active, and AI-assisted review is available. It renews every month until it is cancelled. Cancel it any time from Your plan in the account menu, or by email to hello@aurenix-cl.com from the address you subscribed with; cancelling stops the next renewal and access runs to the end of the month already paid for. A founder price, where it is offered, stays the price of your plan for as long as you keep it.

Promotion codes are entered on Stripe’s payment page, need a signed-in account, and unlock the one report they were used for.

Prices are in US dollars and are shown before you pay. No tax or fee is added at checkout: the amount shown is the amount charged. Payments are processed by Stripe, and ReviewAhead never sees your card details. Stripe issues an invoice for every purchase and every subscription payment; you can add a VAT number at checkout and it appears on the invoice.

Your rights when you change your mind, and the consent you give at checkout, are set out in Refunds and Right of Withdrawal, which forms part of these terms.

7. Availability

ReviewAhead is provided as it stands. It is a small service and there is no uptime guarantee. Scans can fail, and reports expire on the schedule above. Where a scan fails for a reason on ReviewAhead’s side after you have paid, email hello@aurenix-cl.com and the payment will be refunded.

8. Liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for a consumer’s statutory rights.

Subject to that, ReviewAhead is not liable for rejected submissions, delayed releases, lost revenue, lost data or any indirect loss. Where liability is found, it is limited to the amount you paid ReviewAhead in the twelve months before the claim.

This limit is a fair reflection of what the service is: a low-cost automated check that says plainly, in the product and above, that it cannot guarantee approval.

9. Ending the agreement

You may stop using ReviewAhead at any time, and cancel the unlimited plan as described in section 6. ReviewAhead may suspend or end access where these terms are broken, where the service is being used to attack it, or where required by law. Reports already paid for remain available for the rest of their retention period.

10. Changes

These terms may change as the product changes. The date at the top says when the current wording took effect, and an account is asked to accept a new version before it scans again. A material change to the unlimited plan will be announced by email before it applies to you, and you may cancel rather than accept it.

11. Law and complaints

These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of the Netherlands or of the country you live in.

Send a complaint to hello@aurenix-cl.com: most things are settled that way. If you live in another EU country, the European Consumer Centre in your country can advise you on a cross-border complaint.

12. Contact

Email hello@aurenix-cl.com. A question about a payment is answered fastest from the email address used at checkout.
